821,560. Clothes airers. CLEMENTSON, J. S. Oct. 13, 1956, No. 31249/56. Addition to 795,463. Class 52(5) A modification of the clothes airer disclosed in the parent Specification comprises clothes-supporting rails 6 connecting side members 4 of a U-shape or closed frame, a pivoted stay 7 which incorporates heating tubes 11, and struts 12 which are telescoped when the stay is moved to a closed position between the side members. In the closed position the airer is supported in an upright position on feet 5 for use as a towel horse. Independently operable heating elements and a fabric cover may be provided and in further modifications the struts are collapsible by hinging or the ends of rigid struts slide in slots in the side members.
