820,961. Lens mount. KAMERABAUANSTALT. July 17, 1996 [Aug. 17, 1955], No. 22143/56. Classes 97(1) and 98(1) An objective lens mount has a seating for an auxiliary optical element in the part which protrdues in front of the lens, the element being releasably held in the seating by a member controlled by an actuating member disposed on the exterior of the mount. As shown, an element 5 is held by jaws 8 fixed on a spring 7 attached to the lens mount 4 by screws 9 and 10. When the ring 14 is rotated in an anticlockwise direction, an abutment 15 engages an end of the spring 7 to cause bowing thereof with consequent outward radial movement of the jaws 8 and hence the release of the element 5; the screw 10 passing through an elongated slot in the spring 7 allowing of sufficient motion for release to occur. The rotation of the ring 14 is caused by rotation of a diapragm control member behind its diaphragm-actuating range of movement only a lensfocusing member.
