Abstract

A photographic camera having an interchangeable objective is provided within the camera housing with a setting lever 5 and a setting rocker 12 while the objective comprises a setting plunger 41 coupled with a diaphragm blade ring 31 and a setting pin 36 coupled with a stop 35 for the blade ring, the plunger 41 and the pin 36 being adapted to be coupled with the lever 5 and the rocker 12. In the embodiment of Figs. 1 and 2, the rocker 12 is coupled with a diaphragmsetting member 19 on the camera. On screwing the objective 3 into position the plunger 41 and the pin 36 slide over a setting surface 6 of the lever 5 and the rocker 12 respectively. The time exposure is set by a member 27 which transmits movement to a totalizing rocker 22. On rotation of the member 19 a cam surface 18 thereof turns a lever 15 about a pivot 16 so as to displace axially a plunger 14 against the rocker 12 and also to pivot a bell-crank lever 20 which transmits its movement to the totalizing rocker 22. The correct diaphragm exposure is set when a follow-up pointer 43, which is connected to the totalizing rocker 22, coincides with a pointer 45 of a measuring mechanism 44. As the plunger 14 moves the rocker 12 the pin 36 is displaced axially and so alters the position of the stop 35. Operation of the release button 11 advances the lever 5 and hence the plunger 41 which by means of a setting arm 38 rotates the blade ring 31 against the action of a spring 33 until a lug 34 of the blade ring 31 encounters the stop 35. In a second embodiment, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), the stop (57) is provided on a diaphragm setting member (55) rotatably mounted on the objective (3). Rotation of member (55) causes a cam surface (54) of the stop (57) to displace axially the pin (36) against the rocker (12) and thus transmit movement to the totalizing rocker (22).
