820,347. Container closures. MAUSER, R., MAUSER, A., MAUSER, P., and MAUSER, E. July 16, 1957 [April 4, 1957], No. 22473/57. Class 125(3). [Also in Group XXV] In a closure arrangement for rectangular containers in which the edges 3, 4 of the container and lid are embraced by a tension ring, the ring I has interrupted flanges 6, 7, 8 so that there are gaps at the corners of the container. Tension is applied by means of a lever 9 and a seal 5 is provided. In a modification, Fig. 4, the ring is of plastic and may have a stiffening web 12 of spring steel and in another modification, Fig. 5, the ring 13 has short flanges 14. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the ring 15 consists of a continuous spring steel band 16 with flanges 17, 18 welded thereto.
