819,605. Transformers and inductors. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. March 18, 1957 [March 27, 1956], No. 8781/57. Class 38 (2). A laminated magnetic core for inductive apparatus has inorganic cementitious matial 12 applied to the edges of the laminations 11 to render the structure rigid. The core may be wound from cold rolled oriented silicon iron. The cementitious material may be sodium silicate and silica, magnesium oxychloride cement, or a mixture of limestone and clay, and the thickness of the layer 12 may range from <SP>1</SP>/ 64 -<SP>1</SP>/ 16 inch.
