853,071. Magnetic cores. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. May 15, 1959 [May 16, 1958], No. 15802/58. Class 38 (2). The dust core of an inductor is given a substantially zero temperature coefficient of effective permeability at frequencies above half a megacycle by suitable choice of the binder for the magnetic dust. Particles of carbonyl iron smaller than 3 microns diameter are insulated with a layer of oxide and mixed with the copolymer of styrene and α-methylstyrene as binder.
