818,511. Mincers. KUNZI, H. H., and KUNZI, H. S. Nov. 19, 1957 [Nov. 20, 1956], No. 35964/57. Class 28 (2). Meat to be minced is pressed by a screw conveyer 1 to project into a ring-shaped cavity 7 (instead of the usual perforated mincer plate) where pieces are cut off by the reciprocation of a ring cutter 3 over the edge of a fixed ring cutter 2. The cut-off pieces are then forced by the conveyer squeeze out into nozzle-like holes 9 where the projecting pieces are pushed back against a stationary ring cutter 9 for finer cutting. The ring cutter 3 is attached by a link 6 to an eccentric 4 which provides the reciprocation. The cutter 3 is also given a part circular motion or twist by a pin 17 working in a twist groove 16. The ring cutter 3 is provided with an outer flexible ring 10. The mincer is shown horizontal, but may be vertical.
