Abstract

1312845 Cutting dough A A DEHAECK 3 July 1970 [10 July 1969] 32440/70 Heading B5A A cutter for pasties comprises two knives 1 and 2 having edges 3 and 4 forming closed configurations in parallel planes, and a member 7 having slots 10 and mounted on pins 8 so as to be movable between a retracted position when the pasties are being cut, to an extended position to expel the pastie after cutting. The member 7 moves to the extended position under gravity. The knives are joined to a plate 5 having a hole 6 through which the residue dough is sucked by vacuum from the region within the inner knife 2. A hole 15 in the plate 5, or in the knife 2, allows the cut pastie to be released. In Fig. 1 the knife 1 is scalloped. The cutters of Figs. 3 and 4, not shown, are fish-shaped, and the member 7 is supported on pins (12) disposed parallel to the axis of movement of the member.
