A tap for controlling the discharge of beer from a barrel under gas pressure is essentially the same as that described in the parent Specification except that the gas is supplied through passage c and passes to the barrel through passage b, and the plug is provided with an additional port x and a restriction y which allows gas to pass to the outlet bore j and mix with the beer flowing out through a second part d<SP>1</SP> in an additional position of the tap.
