Abstract
816,631. Electromagnetic relays. VEB WERK FUR SIGNALUND SICHERUNGSTECHNIK. Sept. 12, 1955, No. 26033/55. Class 38 (5). A polarized relay comprises a pair of armatures 2 oscillatable on magnetic knife-edge bearings 1 between polepieces 5, 6 of a yoke 12 energized by a coil 10. The bearings 1 are mounted on a magnetic plate 4 and the polarizing flux from the magnets 3 takes the dotted line path shown in Fig. 1. Contacts on the armatures co-operate with counter-contacts 8, 9. Non-magnetic material (Fig. 3, not shown) may be introduced between a bearing 1 and the plate 4 to affect the acceleration of the armature.
