Class 64(3) A heat exchanger comprises spaced, parallel rows of tubes a, the tubes in each row being separated by webs b in which laterally projecting tongues c are formed, the space being adjacent tube rows being occupied by a thin, corrugated metal sheet e the ridges of which are in contact both with the tubes and the tongues, each tube row being formed from two metal sheets bonded together by rolling at predetermined positions and then dilated at intermediate positions by fluid pressure to form the tubes a and interconnecting webs b. The corrugated sheet e is preferably bonded in position between the tube rows by soldering or brazing.
