711,678. Tubular heat-exchangers. JUNKERS & CO. GES. July 21, 1952 [July 21, 1951], No. 18314/52. Class 64(3) Parallel metal sheets 4 mounted as transverse fins on heat-exchange tubes 2 for a gas-heated liquid heater are anchored in opposite walls of a rectangular sheet metal jacket 1, the walls of the jacket being formed with inward bulges 5 having slots 6 in which the edges of the sheets engage. In the form shown, the metal sheets 4 have slits 7, 8 at their edges so that their adjacent parts can be bent over and welded or soldered to the jacket 1. In a modification, the bulges and their slots are inclined to the vertical.
