816,180. Dental handpieces. KALTENBACH, A., and HOFFMEISTER, E. Nov. 20, 1956 [Jan. 20, 1956], No. 35423/56. Class 81 (2). In an angle handpiece the tool holding sleeve 7 is mounted in a bearing 12, at its upper end, and the projecting tool 4 is centred in a second bearing 14. The tool is retained by the usual slotted lever arrangement. The sleeve 7 is located axially by the bearing 14, at one end, and by a radial lip 13 at the other, while, at the same time, it is centred by the tool shank itself. Both bearings may be of sapphire. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 790,737.
