842,845. Dental drills. HAGER & MEISINGER G.m.b.H. Feb. 12,1959 [Feb.15, 1958; Nov. 11, 1958], No. 4951/59. Class 81(2). A dental tool has a reinforcing enlargement at the point where the tapered neck 7 merges into the shaft 3. The reinforcement 4 preferably returns to the diameter of the shaft 3 by a conical surface 5. The neck portion 7 and tip 6 may be made of hard metal and brazed to the shaft 3. The enlargement serves to limit the extent to which the tool is pressed into the handpiece and also assists in preventing foreign matter entering the handpiece head.
