Abstract

816,029. Bobbin-holders. BAHNSON CO. June 27, 1957 [June 28, 1956], No. 20302/57. Class 120(2) A device for releasably holding a textile bobbin with an internal bore comprises jaw-members urged apart by resilient means which are removable for replacement by means of different resilience. In Fig. 1 two jaw-members are provided in the form of the legs of a U-member urged apart by a U-shaped spring 5; the spring has an end 7 shaped to engage one of the legs to limit its outward movement and is held in place by the engagement of a tongue on one of the members with an aperture in the spring. The holder is carried in a slot in the rail 12 of a creel by the support shown in Fig. 4 which is made of spring steel, the flanges 15g, 15f and 15e, 15i engaging above and below the rail. A cup-shaped aperture 15b in the support is large enough to allow a headed pin 17 to swivel in a bearing-member 16.
