A metal wall box for mounting an electrical accessory, for example a switch, has slidably adjustable nuts of insulating material for ensuring that the cover-plate securing screws cannot contact the box. In Fig. 2 a rectangular nylon nut 7 is held against the inside wall of a box 1 by a metal pressing 2 slidable on rivets 5. The nut 7 has a blind tapped hole 8 and is retained by two or three flanges 9. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown), the metal pressing extends to one side only and is guided by a single rivet. In the embodiment of Fig. 7 the nylon nut 7b has integral side wings 3b guided in loops 5b.
