Abstract

814,230. Telescopic sights. LEITZ (CANADA) Ltd., E. March 26, 1957 [March 31, 1956], No. 9848/57. Class 97(1) A telescopic sight comprises a graticule which is carried by a first slide mounted in a guide on a second slide and displaceable by a cam in the direction of the guide in the second slide, the latter being slidable in an orthogonal direction by another cam. As shown, the tubular body 1 of the telescopic sight has rotatable therein an objective holder 2 and an eyepiece holder 23, both being immoveable axially. Adjacent ends of these holders have eccentric. bores in which are respectively arranged rings 4 and 14. Ring 4 has projections 5 slidable in grooves 6 of a first slide 7 carrying the graticule 10 and slidable in a groove 8 of a second slide 9 having grooves 12 in which are slidable projections 13 on the ring 14. Thus by rotating the objective holder 2, the slide 1 is displaced horizontally, whereas by rotating the eyepiece holder 23, the slide 9 moves vertically and carries slide 7 with it.
