Abstract

809,893. Induction generators. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. June 12. 1957, No. 18602/.57. Class 35. An induction generator G is excited by condensers 6, 7, 8 and is matched to various loads 12 by means of a tapped transformer 2, this transformer being saturable at slightly excessive generator voltage so that the reduced inductance of its primary windings 3, 4, 5 diverts some of the excitation current from the condensers and so prevents further voltage rise. The case of single-phase loading through an auto-transformer is also described.
