Abstract

809,670. Wood planing. STENBERGS MASKINBYRA A. B. July 24, 1956 [Aug. 3, 1955], No. 22800/56. Class 145. A planing machine having a horizontal cutter 4 and associated guide table 2 and a vertical cutter 7 and associated fence 5 is provided with one or more additional vertical cutters 8 on pivoted arms 10 and with one or more additional horizontal cutters 9 on vertically-adjustable carriers 11. After passing the cutters 4 and 7, the work is held against the delivery table and fence 3, 6 so that the additional cutters 8, 9 plane the remaining two work surfaces parallel to the previously-planed surfaces. Feed rollers 12 are provided in front of the cutters 8 and feed rollers 13, 14 are provided in front of and behind the cutters 9, being preferably mounted on the carriers 11.
