809,427. Blood transfusion apparatus. FREEMAN, W. S. Sept. 30, 1957 [Aug. 7, 1956], No. 24217/56. Class 81 (2). Blood transfusion and other intravenous dispensing apparatus comprises a closure 13 for a container 10, the closure bearing marks on its outer face where it can be perforated for the insertion of tubes and having, on its inner face, a socket 16, to receive a specimen container with its mouth directed towards a different perforation mark, and an additional socket 18, which surrounds a perforation in the closure 13 for a delivery tube 24 and grips a framework carrying a filter cloth 21 and extending into the container 10. The framework comprises two annuli joined by straight pieces 20. The container 10 is made of plastic or glass and may be perforated at the end remote from the closure 13.
