883,293. Anaesthetic apparatus. LEWIS LABORATORIES Ltd. March 13, 1958 [March 20, 1957], No.9142/57. Class 81 (2). [Also in Group XXVIII] An L-shaped connection piece 2 for interconnecting an endotracheal tube with anaesthetic apparatus has an integral branch tube 7, projecting at right angles to both limbs 5, 6 at the junction thereof and communicating with the passageway 3 through the piece, and detachable closure means 8 for the branch tube. One limb 5 is ridged for connection to the endotracheal tube. Aerosol apparatus (not shown) which may be used with the connection piece has a slightly tapering hollow part which can be inserted in the element 7 when a closure plug 8 is removed, a cap 10 being provided to receive the removed plug 8.
