809,357. Straw cutters. CLAAS, A. June 26, 1957 [June 27, 1956], No. 20125/57. Class 5(1). A straw cutter which may be mounted on a combine harvester or on a baler comprises rotated pairs of inclined knives 6, Fig. 2, coacting with similar inclined knife pairs 8 mounted on a fixed support 13. Each knife pair may comprise one part of a standard scraper blade and is mounted to be easily fixed and to be reversible after one edge pair is blunt. Such mounting comprises left and right bent-out plates 5, 5<SP>1</SP> of discs on a rotated shaft 4. The standard fixed blades 8 are secured by pins 11 to brackets 9 secured by a screw to the fixed rail 13.
