Abstract
A cobalt-chromium base alloy in the form of a powder passing 80 mesh which is suitable for coating metals by means of an oxy-acetylene welding torch or by flame-spraying followed by fusion, has the following composition: Cr 15-35 per cent, W and/or Mo 3-20 per cent. C 0.15-3 per cent, B 0.9-4 per cent, Cu 0.25-5 per cent, Ni 1-20 per cent, Fe 2.75-5 per cent, Mn 0.2-3 per cent, Si 2-5 per cent, Co the balance, not less than 25 per cent. Specifications 657,300, 693,719 [Group XXIX], and 707,228 are referred to.
