Abstract

An alloy for hard surfacing metals by spraying, welding or dip-brazing, has the following composition:-Cr 7-17 per cent, B 1-4.5 per cent, Si 1-5.5 per cent, Fe 0.10-5.5 per cent, W or Mo 6-20 per cent, C 0.05-2.5 per cent, the remainder being nickel and incidental impurities.
