In a worm or bevel driven differential gearing having planetary pinions 15 meshing with sunwheels 16 on axially aligned output shafts 17, the planet pinion carrier 14 is in the form of a one-piece housing closely confining the planet and sun-gears having axially opposed bearings 18 for the output shafts 17 and a lateral opening 21 through which the gears can be entered, and the output shafts 17 are tubular with longitudinally split 25 and splined ends expanded into corresponding splined bores of the sungears 16 by expander bolts 28 axially adjustable by nuts 29 reacting on the outer ends of the shafts 17.
