A signalling arrangement for indicating intended changes of course of marine craft comprises at least one pair of electric lamps producing red and green light respectively manually operated switch means being provided for selectively connecting the lamps to an intermittent voltage supply source so as to indicate an intended change of course to port or starboard by flashing of the red or green lamp respectively. The lamps are mounted at respective sides of the vessel adjacent to the normal port and starboard navigation lights and a similar pair of lamps positioned in close proximity are mounted on the fore mast or at the fore peak of the vessel and operated in similar manner a third lamp producing light of a distinctive other colour (e.g. white or yellow) being included with the latter pair and connected via a further manually operated switch to the intermittent voltage source so that the attention of other vessels may be drawn before the actual course change signals are given. The third lamp is arranged to continue flashing alternately with the flashing of the red or green course change lamps. The intermittent voltage supply source is provided by means of a motor-driven interrupter and each of the signal lamps is connected via electromagnetic relays to individual pilot lamps on the instrument panel used by the ship's master an additional pair of pilot lamps connected with the course change signal lamps being provided at the station occupied by the helmsman.
