Abstract

807,982. Powder distributers. KLEINMOTOREN G.m.b.H. March 6, 1957 [March 6, 1956], No. 7367/57. Class 6(1). [Also in Group XXIX] An apparatus for pest combatting is provided with a container which serves to receive liquid or pulverulent media and is provided with two separate closable outlets of different size. As shown the nozzle 3 serves as an outlet for liquid media and a flexible conduit 12 containing a shut-off cock 13 terminates in a nozzle 11 opening into an atomiser tube 10. A flexible pipe 15 is fitted to the nozzle 4 and opens into an atomiser tube 14 an adjustable flap 16 being provided at the end of the pipe 14. The openings of the nozzles 3, 4 are covered off by a rotatable member 5 of the plug-cock type. A rotary agitator 9 is also provided. In a modification the two outlets are provided in the bottom of the container and a rotary slide valve is provided. In a further modification an outlet in the bottom of a container for pulverulent material is closed by a thin insert of rubber or synthetic material which fits inside the container and seals off the opening and is provided with a nozzle which passes through an opening in the side of the container.
