A dry rectifier assembly comprises a rectangular metal (e.g. aluminium) casing 1, the base of which has coplanar lugs 3, 4, drilled for fixture in good heat-conducting contact to a flat metal support, a liner 5 of electrically insulating, heat-conducting, thin sheet material, in contact with the interior surfaces of the casing 1, and a stack of rectifier plates 6 and terminals 7 fitted tightly within the liner 5 and impregnated after assembly with a heat-conducting thermoplastic or thermosetting material.
