[Also in Group XXX] One of the sprocket wheels 26 (Fig. 1), driving a pair of chains 44 between which cages 92 for carrying automobiles are suspended is driven through a gear 56 formed of a number of sectors 52 secured to the sprocket and formed with abutting flanges 58 (Fig. 5), secured together. As illustrated the sectors 52 are secured to the sprocket 26 by rivets 54, and to a disc on the sprocket shaft 24 by rivets 62. The sectors have outwardly facing teeth engaged by a driving pinion 68 (Fig. 1), driven from a motor 90 which also drives a similar pinion engaging a similar gear 56 on the opposite side of the device.
