806,711. Chimney cowls. BASTEN, G. Nov. 16, 1956 [Nov. 18, 1955], No. 35112/56. Class 25 A cowl 1 comprises lateral flues 2 and a centrally apertured cover plate 4 above a discharge opening 3. The central aperture 6 accommodates a plate 7 from which depends a doublecone deflector element 9 having ducts 10 formed therein with inclined funnel-shaped enlarged ends 10<SP>1</SP>, 10<SP>11</SP>. The ducts are superposed in horizontal planes in each of which several intersecting ducts are provided.
