Class 108(1) The forward end of a trailer is supported by a spherical ended king-pin 18 engaging a socket 20 carried by the side members 14 of the forecarriage which has a wheeled axle rearwardly of the king-pin axis. A skirt 22 surrounding the king-pin 18 engages an anular member 22a to limit the angular movement of the forecarriage about the king-pin and a transverse leaf spring 23 secured to the trailer body has its ends engaging the turntable 13 carried by the forecarriage to give stability during turning. The chain 28 maintains the forecarriage horizontal when the trailer is uncoupled from the tractor.
