Abstract

805,200. Elongated lighting fittings; mounting reflectors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Feb. 5, 1957 [Feb. 6, 1956], No. 3665/56. Classes 75(2): and 75(3) [Also in Group XXXVI] A trunking unit consists of two sheet metal members forming the sides 1, 2 and bent to form the base and flanges 3, 4 which are bolted to each other with the interposition of spacers 7 at intervals along the length of the unit to form one or more slots in the base and two cable ducts 13, 14. A tray 9 for carrying lamp-operating gear 10 may be supported on the flanges 3, 4 and is located in position by spigots projecting from its underside between the flanges. A lamp reflector may be. screwed into the spigots or may be secured at each end by a nut 19 and a bolt 16 having a rectangular head 17 which can be turned to engage over the edges of the flanges 3, 4 after insertion therebetween. A spring clip 20 for supporting a tubular lamp is secured to bolt 16 by screw 21. Alternatively, a bar carrying two spring clips may 'be screwed to the bolt for the support of two tubular lamps within the reflector (Fig. 5, not shown).
