854,838. Lamps with trough-shaped reflectors. FENN, J. J., and BENJAMIN ELECTRIC Ltd. Sept. 2, 1959 [Sept. 3, 1958], No. 28280/58. Class 75(4). The support member of a light fitting for tubular lamps comprises a channel member 10 bridged by members 16 carrying the lamp holder brackets 13. The member 10 has flanged edges cut away in places 27 to receive clips 17, 18 which are attached by screws 20, 21 and tabs 22 to the bridge member 16. The apertures in the clips allow lateral play for fixing, but recesses 25 in the bridge members prevent longitudinal play, i.e. in the direction of the lamp contacts.
