Abstract

A composition for treating textiles comprises a polyglycol, a condensation product of glycerol with ethylene oxide and a condensation product of lauryl alcohol with ethylene oxide. The composition may be used as an aqueous emulsion. In examples, the glycol is polyethylene glycol and the treatment of yarns of polyvinyl chloride, viscose rayon, acetate rayon, nylon, linen and silk is described. The composition may also be applied to fabrics.
