Granular material is conveyed along a horizontal, or upwardly-inclined, cylindrical casing 1 by air jets issuing from apertures 6 in the underside of an air supply tube 3 made of airimpermeable material. The apertures 6 point in the direction of conveyance. The tube 3 may be vertically adjustable and a plurality of such tubes may be arranged closely spaced side-byside.
