Abstract

754,918. Pneumatic conveyers. SMIDTH & CO. AKTIESELSKAB, F. L. Nov. 15, 1954, No. 33046/54. Class 78 (1). A horizontal container 13, which is composed of sections 3, each having a discharge outlet leading to a weighing device 12, is connected to and fed with fluidized material from a silo 1 and has one or more pipes 6 rising from it to maintain uniformity of pressure in it. Compressed air is passed into the material in the silo 1 and sections 3 through porous plates or canvas and the material in the sections may be continuously agitated by devices mounted on a motor-driven shaft 5. Compressed air is supplied also to a perforated pipe 8 disposed within the pipe 6 and wrapped in an air-distributing material, e.g. canvas. The silo may be connected to the middle of the container 3 and a pipe 6 provided at each end, or a single pipe may be provided at the middle and a silo connected to each end.
