803,438. Valves. GASKELL & CHAMBERS, Ltd., [trading as NON-DRIP MEASURE CO.]. Nov. 15, 1956 [Dec. 2, 1955], No. 34614/55. Class 135. A valve for controlling the intermittent delivery of liquid under pressure comprises a cylindrical casing 1, 8, Fig. 1, the part 1 of which is screwed into the wall 30 of a container and the part 8 of which is secured to the part 1 by a lock nut 13. The casing 1, 8 has an inlet 2 and an outlet 3. Within the casing is a central core 4 having conical ends 15 and 9 from the latter of which extends a stem 6 located in a bearing 7. Surrounding the core 4 and attached thereto by a grubscrew 19 are two sleeve members 17, 18. A liner sleeve 16 is located against the inner wall of the casing part 1. The core 4 carries at its end 9 an annular rubber closure member 10 which is normally retained against the seat 11 by a spring 31. The core 4 and the sleeves 17, 18 have spacing ribs 20. A lever 24 having a handle 28 may be rocked counter-clockwise to push the core 4 to the left so that the member 10 leaves the seat 11 and liquid flows through the outlet 3.
