Abstract

802,466. Cartons: packaging. BUGNONE, A. Jan. 29, 1957 [Feb. 24, 1956 ; April 24, 1956 ; Oct. 25, 1956], No. 3125/57. Classes 18 and 94(1). A tubular carton having an attached bottom closure 5 and a continuous top closure extension has opposite walls 2, 4 and adjacent parts of the extension 10, 12 creased at 2a, 4a, to permit collapse of the carton with the top closed and the bottom not yet attached. Handle extensions 14 integral with the top closure are provided, while the bottom is inset and has a rim 5b enclosing the lower edge of the carton. Flaps 6, 7 are perforated as well as the handle portions in order to receive a thread 18 which is pulled out before opening the carton. Paper strips (not shown) may reinforce the handle internally.
