Abstract

800,101. Electromagnetic interrupters. SCHROTER, M. C., [trading as HARDI DR. R. SCHROTER]. Dec. 10, 1956 [Jan. 7, 1956], No. 37702/56. Class 38 (5). A contact device for controlling an electromagnetically-operated pump (not shown) comprises a push-rod 1 reciprocated by the electromagnet and pivoted at 12 to a lever 13 pivoted at 14. A hair-spring 15 connects the lever 13 with a conducting member 4 also pivoted at 14 whereby movement of the rod 1 causes the member 4 to snap up and down. A pair of contacts 5, 5<SP>1</SP> (only one shown) arranged sideby-side on the member 4 co-operate with fixed contacts 8, 8<SP>1</SP> on a T-shaped blade 6 to control the electromagnet. A clamping screw 7 secures the blade 6 together with a backing-spring 9 having a projection 10 engaging the blade. Side arms 9, 9<SP>1</SP> on the spring 9 are arched so that their ends engage the upper surface of baseplate 2, a screw 11 passing freely through the blade and spring and having its head bearing against the spring 9 permitting adjustment of the contacts 8, 81.
