828,170. Temperature-responsive actuating elemnts. CKD MODRANY, NARODNI PODNIK, and PETRASEK, K. May 14, 1957 [May 14, 1956], No. 15283/57. Class 64(2) [Also in Group XXXVII] A bimetal in a relay, or each of a number of bimetals 1 in a multiphase relay, is secured by rivets 5 to a holder 2 which is formed to a U-shape at one end where a screw 3 passes through the legs of the U, being threadably connected to the one leg to anchor the holder 2 and passing freely through a cut-out portion of the other leg adjacent which a nut 4 is mounted on the screw. Movement of the nut 4 adjusts the position of the main portion of the holder 2 and the bimetal 1. A member 6 bearing a terminal screw is held between the threaded leg of the U and the body 9 of the relay. The holder 2 also acts as a heat-accumulating member to cause a time delay in action. The bimetal acts through an insulating member 8 on a lever 7 on which the other bimetals also act.
