Abstract

631,933. Electromagnetic switches. ROTAX, Ltd., and BOURNE, W. G. Jan. 3, 1948, .No. 250. [Class 38(v)] A reversing switch, operable in one direction or the other from the central position shown by energization of one or other of two electromagnets b, has an armature d pressed against two fulcrum pieces c by a spring g acting through a T-shaped retaining piece e. The armature pivots about one fulcrum piece when attracted by .one magnet and about the other when attracted by the other magnet. Each arm of the armature carries an insulating piece h which supports two contact members i each member i being acted on by a spring o and being supported on two pivot points p providing for self alignment of two bridging contacts j. There are four fixed contacts at each side.
