Abstract

800,086. Knitting-machines. KIDDE MANUFACTURING CO., Inc. June 26, 1956 [Aug. 17, 1955], No. 19723/56. Class 74 (2). Shock absorber means clamps the spring-urged return of a guide-barshogging pusher bar 16 towards the cam means which actuates it. The shock absorber means comprises a plunger 36 moving with the bar 16 and working in a cylinder 35, which fluid can enter and leave via inlet and outlet ports 37, 39, controlled by, respectively, an adjustable spring- and-ball valve 41, 40 and an adjustable needle valve 42. The fluid is supplied from and returned to a reservoir 34.
