Class 20(4) A wall or roof comprises metal sheets 7, Fig. 1, arranged side by side and having interlocking channel-shaped edges 12, 13 through each pair of which a bolt or rod 9 is passed, the ends of the latter being secured to frame members 5, 6, a member 14 being provided which interlocks with the edges 12, 13, of the sheets and has attached thereto a lining or facing slab 19. As shown applied to a wall the rods 9 have heads 11 to engage the horizontal member 5 and nuts 10 to engage member 6. Each member 14 has a cranked edge 18 which lies between edges 12, 13, a base 17 to which lining or facing slabs 19 are secured by self-tapping screws covered by a strip adhesively secured in position, and an angled limb 16 which holds an insulating blanket 22 in place. In a modification the member 14 has a limb 16 on each side of a centre limb. In another form the slabs 19 are attached to member 14 by a T-section cover piece, the cross-member of which overlies the edges of the slabs and the projecting limb of which is attached to member 14. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, the slabs 19 have metal edging strips. 29 and are secured by hooks 23 which engage the edges 12, 13, are passed through spacing sleeves 27 and have nuts which press against cover strip 28. In another form the hooks 23 pass through holes in the slabs 19. The securing member may be of T- section, the slabs being attached to the cross-pieces of the T and the upright limb being cranked for interlocking with the edges of the metal sheets. In any of the embodiments slabs or panels may be attached by adhesive to the interlocked edges so as to line both faces of the metal sheets.
