798,039. Reaping machines. FISHER, A. E. Jan. 17, 1956, No. 1584/56. Class 6(3). A stalk-lifting attachment for a reaping machine comprises a shoe 1 with lifting bars 2, 3, the shoe being pivoted to bolts 10 which are attached to the cutter-bar 16 of the reaper and having a rearward extension 4 which bears against the underside of the reaping-machine table 17. The shoe comprises a bar, which is flattened to form a wide sole where it contacts the ground, and which is integral with a tube through which passes a spindle 8 carried by the bolts 10. The rear end 4 of the extension carries a cap 7 which bears below the table 17 to limit downward pivoting of the shoe.
