Abstract

795,759. Stapling machines. ELASTIC AKT.-GES. VORM M. VOGEL AKT.-GES. June 4. 1956 [June 4, 1955], No. 17271/56 Class 89(3) A pneumatic stapling machine has a staple ejector 38 connected to a driving piston 3 in a position spaced from the central axis thereof in the direction towards the front of the machine. The ejector 38 is riveted to a ejector carrier 4 received within the piston 3 which is slidable within a cylinder 2 at the front of the machine body 1a in which a manually operated control valve 6 is provided. In its upper position the valve 6 allows communication between a compressed air supply passage 5 and a passage 5a leading to the upper end of the cylinder 2 through apertures 29 in the threaded surface of a screw cap 26 closing the cylinder. In its lower position the valve 6 allows communication between the passage 5a and an exhaust passage 49. The downward stroke of the piston is limited by abutment means 35, 36, and 41 The staple magazine 12 is pivotally mounted by a pin 13 in a handle 11 and is clamped in operative position by a screw connection 14.
