Abstract

A ceramic material contains barium titanate, a minor proportion of calcium zirconate, and up to 1 per cent of magnesia. Preferred are 2-20,5 per cent of zirconate and 0 25-0,75 per cent of magnesia. Oxides or percursors therefor in the required proportions are fired, the product ground, shaped (with possibly temporary binders) and refired.
