Abstract
A ceramic material contains barium titanate, a minor proportion of one or more zirconates and/or stannates of an alkaline earth metal or metals (other than calcium zirconate alone) and up to 1 per cent magnesia relative to the other ingredients. Oxides or precursors therefor in the required proportions are fired, the product ground, shaped (possibly with temporary binders) and refired.
