795,226. Gas filters. KNECHT, A. Aug. 1, 1956 [Aug. 17, 1955], No. 23715/56. Class 8(2). The securing of annular metal end plates 5, 6 to upper and lower ends of a longitudinally pleat ed star-sectioned filter paper element 2 sup ported by internal and external perforated tube: 1, 4 is effected by inter posing a thin layer 8 of a vulcanizable synthetic rubber between saic ends and said plates and heating at a temperature of 200‹C. ; the external and internal margins 9, 10 of the plates 5, 6 extending radially outwards and inwards respectively and being secured to sealing washers 11, 12 by which the filter is secured to a silencing chamber (not shown) and to the air intake of an I.C. engine.
