Abstract
794,757. Coaxial resonators. COLLINS RADIO CO. Oct. 14, 1955, No. 29388/55. Class 40 (8). A tunable coaxial resonator comprises an outer conductor and a number of inner conductors which may be variably shorted to each other or to the outer conductor. The inner conductors 13, Fig. 1, are connected at their inner ends to a conductive disc 12 which is coupled to the outer conductor 10 through a capacitor C<SP>1</SP>. One inner conductor 14 is connected to the end conductive member 11 whilst the others extend through apertures 15 and are insulated from this member. The resonant frequency of the cavity is controlled by a switch 17 through which any one of the conductor 13 may be shorted to the outer conductor.
