Abstract

588,310. Electric resonators. PATELHOLD PATENTVERWERTUNGS- & ELEKTRO-HOLDING AKT.-GES. Feb. 6, 1945, No. 3015. Convention date, Feb. 8, 1944. [Class 40 (iii)] To facilitate tracking in superheterodyne and like circuits in which coaxial resonators are employed, each resonator has, in addition to an interior tuning condenser, two different preset tuning devices, one capacitive for shifting the calibration characteristic laterally and the other inductive for altering the slope of the characteristic. In one embodiment, the interior tuning condenser comprises a fixed plate b, Fig. 1, and an axially movable plate c. The capacitive preset comprises an axially adjustable plate h which is connected conductively to the outer conductor a and capacitively to the fixed plate b, and the inductive preset comprises an axially adjustable end plate k. In another embodiment in which the tuning condenser comprises insulated vanes o, Fig. 2, rotating within hollow sectors p, g, the capacitive preset comprises a rotatable plate r and the inductive either a translatable loop s or a rotatable loop t.
